Kayaking In Cabo San Lucas
A lot of visitors to Cabo rent kayaks on Medano Beach and paddle out to Lover's Beach and El Arco, where both the paddling and the snorkeling can be great. If you want a great place to rent kayaking and snorkel gear on Medano Beach, stand by the water facing Billygan's Island (the popular restaurant and beach club), and with your back to the bay, spy out the palapa-style kayak-rental kiosk immediately to the left of Billygan's. Then, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. One of two snorkel sets we rented there was missing the plug by the mouthpiece (so was useless), which we didn't realize (why would we?) until we were across the bay...later, they wanted US to pay THEM for it. Also, most kayaks have drain plugs. Both the kayaks we rented from these guys had the drain holes, but no working plugs -- on one, there was a plug, but it didn't screw in; on the other, there was no plug, just an old crumbling bottle cork....
